Monthly Club Meeting - September with Mike Allerton

Our speaker for September is Mike Allerton, who will be talking about his experience of controlling varroa with oxalic acid treatments.

Mike keeps bees at the foot of the Blue Mountains near Sydney (https://aussiemikesbees.com/ ), where he strongly leans to the philosophy and approach of backyard beekeeping. However, he has also gained professional beekeeping qualifications, which provides him with rare insights into the management of bees with the varroa mite.

Slovenian AZ hives as well are an interest of Mike’s, and he is keen to promote their accessibility for people with restricted mobility.

It should be an interesting talk.
